Driver at altitude
Thin air helps the ball fly. Your driver should take advantage.
What altitude does
At Durango's elevation, air density is about twenty percent lower than at sea level. A ball carries roughly eight to ten percent farther. That changes the best loft and spin for many players.
What we test
- Launch angle and spin at altitude
- Shaft weight, with an eye on total club weight
- Length for carrying comfort
- Dispersion in a crosswind
Walkers
A driver that weighs a few grams less saves little on the course but can change tempo. We test both.
